The Arts Family London and 079|STORIES, Ahmedabad are delighted to present Con/temporality: Contemporary Aesthetics in Our Times, a selection of South Asian artists celebrating the dynamic spirit of contemporary artistic practices of the region. The show features 10 artists shortlisted for the recent TAF Emerging Artist Award (2nd edition), including three finalists.
The exhibition showcases an eclectic mix of forms, mediums and dimensions and the artists explore ideas of transmigration, the human ecosystem interaction, and iconographies pertinent to the South Asian region. From sculptural interventions with fabric and indigenous materials, to enquiries on self, past and present, the works examine the socio-political tonalities of the world.
