Cut, Paste, Create: A Contemporary Collage Workshop by Renuka Rajiv

Bangalore-based artist Renuka Rajiv will talk about the essence of collage making and its importance on the development of contemporary art, while guiding participants to create their own pieces and share tips and tricks. Focusing on collage-making, incorporating other materials along with paper, such as buttons, fabric, thread and printed material, this workshop will be sure to rekindle the memories of arts and craft from your childhood. 

Renuka Rajiv has had an interest in making things since childhood, exploring drawing, paper mache, tie-dye and stitching. They studied film at Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology in Bangalore and a BFA (Honours) in printmaking at Victorian College of Art, Melbourne. Since then, their work has reconnected with her childhood interests of exploring fabric and paper. Since 2012 they have been exhibiting regularly in group and solo shows. Recently they have exhibited at Walkin Studios (Bangalore), Home Sweet Home (Bangalore), Vadehra Art Gallery (Delhi), Stockroom (Kyneton), Blakdot (Melbourne), Brunswick Artspace (Melbourne) and Feltspace (Adelaide).
