Arts Ananda Trust presents a large and intricately constructed sculpture is made of scrap silencer pipes from trucks by Narayan Sinha. Created and assembled during the pandemic, the tangled nature of the sculpture evokes the dark smoke and challenges of the past year, while showing us the balance and harmony which is ever-present in nature.
Narayan Sinha (b. 1977) completed his Bachelors in Science from Calcutta University. Narayan has held over 12 solo shows his works since 2000, including at Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata in 2008; The Address, Kolkata in 2008; Sonar Bangla, Kolkata in 2007; Gufa Art Gallery, Ahmedabad in 2006; Jahangir Art Gallery, Mumbai in 2005; and the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata in 2005. He lives and works in Kolkata.
