Art Centrix Space presents Expanded Disciplinarity: Constructing Painterly Relations, a group show of the 10 shortlisted artists of the Art Centrix Painting Grant 2024. The exhibition, conceived by Sibdas Sengupta, focuses on painting as a discipline and how artists engage the medium in processes of negotiation, meaning-making, materiality and performativity. The exhibition also explores new paradigms of painterly discourses, proposing new alternatives for re-defining the historic and geographic attributions of painterly discipline in the current milieu of contemporary art.
