Alliance Francaise presents Forming Feelings, an exhibition focusing on the work of Shaila Beck, whose work is driven by emotion and uses transformation, playfulness and storytelling, in order to create space for the viewer to engage with their own sensibilities.
The works on display explore symbolic color and texture, and possess varied forms that depict one’s range of feelings in a fragile yet utopic world.
Alliance Francaise’s Galerie Romain Rolland, is named after the French novelist, mystic, pacifist, and Nobel Laureate, not only for his great love for India but for his perception that art must be a struggle to sensitize and bring enlightenment to people. The gallery has already played host to many an artist, and has emerged as a prime venue for creative manifestations in various genres and traditions.
