The Museum of Modern Art presents Nilima Sheikh: Fractured Skies, a major exhibition devoted to the work of Indian artist Nilima Sheikh, organised in collaboration with the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, New Delhi. Bringing together layered paintings and scrolls from three significant bodies of work, the exhibition traces Sheikh’s decades-long engagement with memory, displacement, loss and resilience. Drawing on archival histories, literature and lived experience, her intricate narratives foreground the voices and stories of Kashmir, while reflecting on the enduring connections between place, history and human experience.
