Gallery Sumukha presents In Search of the Perfect Image, a solo exhibition by G Ravinder Reddy. Bringing together works from his four-decade practice, the exhibition traces Reddy’s enduring fascination with the head as a site of identity, and transformation. Monumental and distinctly frontal, his sculptural heads draw from diverse histories of Indian and ancient imagery while remaining firmly rooted in the contemporary. Each work is unique, shaped through subtle shifts in proportion, colour, hairstyle, jewellery, and sringar. Together, they reveal an evolving meditation on beauty, sensuality, and adornment. The exhibition coincides with Gallery Sumukha’s 30th anniversary, celebrating a longstanding engagement with Reddy’s practice and its continuing evolution.
