INDIA. Of Glimmers and Getaways: Group Show

The PAC presents India.Of Glimmers and Getaways, a major group exhibition which explores artistic practices from India as a result of the “associated living”, far beyond geographic or cultural borders of the country. The show features the works of Anju Acharya, Millo Ankha, Pinak Banik, Kaur Chimuk, Tenzin Gyurmey Dorjee, GABAA, Malik Irtiza, Shefalee Jain, Ranjeeta Kumari, Uzma Mohsin, Maksud Ali Mondal, Jithinlal N R, Renuka Rajiv, Smita Urmila Rajmane, Kaushal Sapre, Niroj Satpathy, Moonis Ahmed Shah, Ritika Sharma, Mohit Shelare, Gagan Singh, Sumakshi Singh, Aarti Sunder, Suvani Suri, Alina Tiphagne, Gopa Trivedi, Aasma Tulika, Panjeri Artists’ Union, and Gyanwant Yadav. Curated by Raqs Media Collective and Ferran Barenblit, the exhibition is promoted by Municipality of Milan, produced by PAC and Silvana Editoriale, and it is part of the Programme Cultural Olimpics Milano Cortina 2026. The exhibition is conceived as heterogeneous mosaic composed by unsettled and changing scenarios, capable to conveying the complexity and tensions that interest Indian society as well as the global scene. A rich and sometimes contradictory universe, narrated through works ranging from drawing to painting, photography to video art and performance. The project embodies both the fragility and resilience of collective life, suggesting glimmers of hope, escape routes and other possible futures.
