Art Exposure presents Indian Modern Art: Evolution of Narratives, a landmark survey that brings together a dynamic and wide-ranging assembly of artists whose practices trace the shifting contours of modern Indian art. Spanning from the early 20th-century revivalist aspirations of the Bengal School to the assertive individualisms of late-century modernists, the exhibition explores how artists redefined tradition, form and identity in response to evolving political, social and aesthetic contexts.
Anchored in pivotal movements such as the Bengal Revival — led by Abanindranath Tagore — and extending to the radical modernisms of the Bombay Progressives, the exhibition features seminal figures including Gaganendranath Tagore, Rabindranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, Amrita Sher-Gil, Ramkinkar Baij and F.N. Souza, among others.
