INDIGENOUS LIVING TRADITIONS TODAY

Indigenous living traditions have always been historically present. From art forms like Gond, Bhil, Mithila, Madhubani and Warli to textile traditions like Chamba Rumal and Chikankari, we explore how they have evolved and continue to live with us.

The tour will be of 40 minutes in English, Hindi, and Indian Sign Language (ISL) and is scheduled on:

– 7th Feb 2025 at 1:00 PM (English & ISL), 2:00 PM (Hindi), and 5:00 PM (English & ISL)

– 8th Feb 2025 at 2:00 PM (Hindi) and 3:00 PM (English & ISL)

– 9th Feb 2025 at 12:00 PM (Hindi), 3:00 PM (English & ISL), and 5:00 PM (Hindi)

This year for Guided Public Art Tours, we conducted the first-ever Art Tour Guides Training Programme designed and taught by independent educator and curator, Shaleen Wadhwana. The Public Art Tours will take place from 7th Feb, Friday to 9th Feb, Sunday at 12 PM, 1 PM, 2 PM, 3 PM, 4 PM, 5 PM and 5:30 PM.

All Tours start at the Info Desk, and are conducted in English, with a few in Hindi, and Indian Sign Language (ISL). No registration required!
