To coincide with the preview of the MAGC Young Artists Grant Show, attend a special guided viewing with the curator, Jesal Thacker, and the 17 selected artists. The exhibition title Inside the Empty Box draws from a series of watercolours by Prabhakar Barwe in the 1990s, inviting the artists to inhabit a space, a container that echoes the dimensions of a body, yet expands far beyond it in thought. The “box” becomes a prompt, a provocation, a process.
The guided viewing will be followed by a special performance by Gitanjali Poluru reflecting on sculpture as a vessel where silence transforms into resonance, carrying memory, intimacy and a quiet unrest.
