Lived-in Skin – Textile as Armour as Memory: Group Exhibition

May 29-June 25, 2026

LATITUDE 28, Defence Colony, New Delhi

LATITUDE 28 presents Lived-in Skin: Textile as Armour as Memory, a group show featuring artists Anshu Singh, Meenakshi Nihalani and Sabeen Omar. The exhibition examines how fabric becomes a vessel of emotional residue, histories, memory and labour. The acts of weaving, stitching, layering, and material accumulation come together to emerge as carriers of personal memory that reflect histories of migration, labour, displacement, and survival. The artists’ intricate works become a part of the histories that textiles carry with them negotiating familiarity, and repair, while foregrounding the emotional and political weight embedded within material surfaces.
