DAG presents March to Freedom; an exhibition that draws upon the gallery’s extensive collection of historical art and artefacts, in order to reflect on India’s independence as the nation celebrates it’s 75th anniversary.
March to Freedom showcases 159 works of art and objects that reinterpret the story of the Indian freedom struggle. The works on display range from products of the pop culture of the time, to historical maps, depictions of India from a colonial lens and even paintings by celebrated modern artists.
Daily activities and special events will be organized for the duration of the show, to engage audiences of all ages.
