Art Alive Gallery presents Mirror Man, Mirror Me, a solo exhibition by Shibu Natesan, opening with a preview. Spread across two floors of the gallery, this is one of Natesan’s largest watercolour exhibitions to date, showcasing works from the past decade (over the last ten years) that trace his ever-evolving visual language. Known for his meticulous handling of light, shadow, and atmosphere, Natesan engages with the idea of gaze – to look, and to be looked at – rendering portraits, landscapes, still life, and self-reflections with remarkable precision. The title, Mirror Man, Mirror Me, underscores the artist’s belief in painting as both personal archive and societal reflection. Through delicate studies of self and surroundings, Natesan positions art as a mirror to everyday life – intimate, contemplative, and resonant with the quiet intricacies of existence.
