Gallery Exhibit320 presents, MOOL, a group exhibition curated by Shaleen Wadhwana, featuring twenty artistic voices from five South Asian countries. The exhibition showcases the personal artefacts of the artists’ families in a public setting for the first time. Each artist shares an object from their family history that reflects their sense of belonging to South Asia. Through painting, ink, graphite, printmaking,archival imagery, watercolour, embroidery, sculpture, photography, weaving, ceramics, 3D printing, and assemblage, the artists explore how lived experiences of cross-border yearnings, shared geographies, language, and community shape the ways we mourn, love, play, dress, build, eat, move, dream, celebrate, and hope.
