Saskia Fernando Gallery presents Chandraguptha Thenuwara’s annual memorial exhibition, ‘Neo-Glitch’, revisiting the questions raised in his 2016 ‘Glitch’ Series, reflecting on the persistence of social and political issues despite changes in government. The exhibition held annually on the 23rd of July commemorates the events of ‘Black July’, a series of Anti-Tamil Pogroms that took place in 1983. Acting as a bridge between the past and the present, the exhibition probes the viewer to contemplate unaddressed issues that have persisted for four decades.
