No ‘One’ Maker: Textiles as Community is a group show, curated by Sreyansi Singh, explores how contemporary textile-making embodies the spirit of collectivism and solidarity through an equal exchange between indigenous practitioners and cross-disciplinary collaborators. The exhibition proposes an alternate way of making that integrates indigenous knowledge, sensitivities, and interests through shared experimentation and reciprocity across identity and labour, while remaining grounded in co-creation with the community.
