Iram Modern presents No Single Ground, a group exhibition curated by Satyajit Dave. Bringing together different moments in Indian modernism, the exhibition traces shifting relationships between body, landscape and abstraction. Images move between memory,pl ace, gesture and colour, where representation gives way to surface and form. Inherited visual languages, popular imagery, artisanal knowledge and lived experience persist within the modern. Rather than settling into fixed categories, these works reveal a ground that is continually shifting, disappearing and re-emerging. No Single Ground asks what happens when the source of an image must continually be found, lost and made again.
