India Art Fair Grounds

In this site-specific installation, artists Doyel and Neil use ice as their continued material of exploration to ask what came before and what will come after this present moment, here. The large-scale and bright red ice sculpture mimics the triple-triangular form of the India Art Fair facade and provokes questions about the ephemerality of all things beautiful, as it melts away over the four days of the fair. Not simply about dissolution, the sculpture also acts as an inquiry into the constant and dynamic transformation of materials between various physical states.
