TAK Contemporary presents its inaugural group exhibition, R.S.V.P., titled after the abbreviation for Répondez s’il vous plaît, a phrase used to confirm one’s presence. Bringing together seven artists—Abirami, Gvantsa Jishkariani, Muriel Moreau, Pavan Kavitkar, Salik Ansari, Spandita Malik and Sujith S. N.—the exhibition explores who is invited to be seen, heard and recognised, and whose presence remains overlooked. Through their works, the artists consider “spaces of appearance” shaped by questions of access, power and belonging, while reflecting on experiences of absence, displacement and invisibility.
