Indian Arts Corner presents Roots and Rhythms: Living Art Traditions of India. Curated by Jas Karan Gupta, Roots and Rhythms brings together artistic practices that continue to be created, lived with, and passed down across generations. Emerging from different regions and communities, these traditions are united by their deep connection to everyday life, belief systems, nature, and collective memory. The exhibition presents works from indigenous and folk traditions including Gond, Bhil, Warli, Madhubani, and Pichvai—each shaped by distinct regional histories and visual languages. Featuring works by Bhuri Bai, Lado Bai, Anil Chaitya Vangad, Ramesh Baria, Kaushal Prasad Tekam, Brij Bhushan Dhurve, and Sanjay Parhad, along with historical Pichvai paintings from the collection, the exhibition reflects on storytelling as a shared impulse—inviting viewers to engage with layered narratives embedded within these living traditions.
