The Courtauld presents Salman Toor: Someone Like You, the first solo museum exhibition in Europe by New York-based artist Salman Toor. Bringing together 19 of his paintings, the exhibition explores queer identity, friendship, love and the search for belonging. Through intimate, dreamlike scenes of everyday life, Toor reflects on the experiences of queer and immigrant communities, capturing moments of connection, vulnerability, solitude and alienation. Drawing on personal memories and the traditions of European painting, his works examine the complexities of navigating different cultures and finding a place to call one’s own.
