Vadehra Art Gallery is honoured to present Sandhya Rāga, a deeply personal and introspective exhibition of paintings, drawings, and sculptures by the renowned artist A. Ramachandran. It features the final works from his studio, including many pieces that have never been exhibited before. This posthumous exhibition has been curated in close collaboration with the late artist’s family. The title Sandhya Rāga was chosen by Chameli Ramachandran after witnessing her husband’s creative and physical journey gradually come to an end. It evokes the twilight of his life and the deeply felt passage of decline and endurance. In his final years, Ramachandran became acutely aware of his failing health, yet he remained sharp in mind and ambitious in his art. His physical strength diminished, standing became impossible, and his brushstrokes grew unsteady, yet his artistic spirit remained resilient.
