Vida Heydari Contemporary is pleased to present Scratch Beneath The Surface, a group show featuring 4 contemporary artists- Anshu Singh, Birender Kumar Yadav, Richa Arya, and Thamshangpha Maku.
Scratch Beneath the Surface makes space for the representation, regard, and acknowledgement of marginal communities and their experiences. With each artist speaking from and for the communities to which they belong, the works express their negotiations with normative conditions, identity and agency, the nature of labour, and the struggle of belonging.
