Perception Of Realities: A Solo Show By Digvijaysinh Jadeja

January 30-February 6, 2025

India International Centre, New Delhi

Born in 1999 in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, Digvijaysinh is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice delves deeply into the complexities of human emotion, shaped by both personal and collective experiences. He holds a postgraduate degree in Printmaking (2021–23) and a bachelor’s degree in Painting (2017–21) from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. At the heart of his work lies an exploration of how memories and past experiences overlap with the present, shaping our perception of reality. His art draws from the vibrant contrasts of dreams, poignant stories shared by others, and quiet moments from everyday life. Through figurative narratives and ethereal landscapes, he constructs spaces where the real and the imagined seamlessly intertwine—creating worlds that feel both familiar and otherworldly. This blending of fantasy and reality allows Digvijaysinh to reflect on life’s absurdities and transform them into compelling visual stories that capture the depth and nuance of human experience. His work invites viewers to navigate the delicate balance between what is seen and what is felt, offering a raw yet intimate portrayal of the emotional layers that define our existence.
