In our contemporary “throwaway” culture, technology has become a “Black Box”, we use it every day, yet we are completely disconnected from its internal logic. Rishabh Jain’s practice is driven by the fundamental inquiry, “Ye chalta kaise hai?” (How does this work?).

This workshop explores the intersection of Repair and Resistance.

The Repair (Sculpture): Through a process of “mechanical autopsy,” you strip away the sleek plastic casings of modern electronics to reveal their skeletal, functional “guts.”

The Resistance (Painting): By creating “Mechanical Portraits” on a large scale, you elevate these discarded components to the status of high art, resist against planned obsolescence and reclaiming the human connection to the machines you create.
