Instituto Cervantes New Delhi hosts the exhibition Studiolo Collection. Candela A. Soldevilla , as part of the “Women-led art collection in Spain” programme. This exhibition features 42 works by different artists using different techniques, where the head as the creator, container and transmitter of human thought, takes center stage. Throughout history, the head has been constantly represented as a part for the entirety of the individual. The oldest way of representing the human condition is the mask, that is, the idea that the face, made in three dimensions, could act as a representation and substitute of the individual itself during their absence.
