Latitude 28 presents Sutures of Signs and Selves, showcasing works by Zahra Yazdani. Under the orchestrated settings of the private spaces, the photographic works by Zahra Yazdani in the exhibition probes the human body through layers and distortion.
The overlaps and asymmetry in the works reimagines how the dominant narratives have been located, registered and scripted their agency on a human body. The process of analogue photography is an extension of duality – reality and fiction – which Yazdani deliberates upon to unfold physiognomy as a site of politics and identity.
