Artshila Goa presents Tangible Mosaic, a group show featuring the works of Kundan Kumar, Nabam Hema, Naveen Tumgana, Shamim Akhtar Khan, Srishti Gupta, and Sumit Kumar. As a part of the Takshila Fine Arts Fellowship 2024, six artists from around the country had the opportunity to develop their artistic practice by re-engaging in research and exploration of their chosen materials and sites of practice. Working with a range of materials — found objects, images, news articles, stories, interviews, and poetry from their everyday lives — they employ both personal and reflective processes to bring forth artworks that visibilize, question, analyze, critique, archive, document, and bear witness. Their artists span a diversity of geographies, languages, and forms; they stand united in their compassion for the fields of engagement and deep-rooted inquiries of their subjects. Artshilla is honoured to have been a part of their journeys, and they look forward to many future collaborations with them.
