Gallery Pristine presents To Feel, a group show of eight South Asian artists which serves as a poignant representation of one or more of the twenty-seven human emotions through a myriad of artistic mediums. The artists encompass a range of diverse practices and have endeavoured to capture the essence of these sentiments. To Feel invites viewers to immerse themselves in the raw intensity and captivating beauty of the human emotional experience. Fluidity in Fabienne Francotte’s work interprets the chaos of the human condition, unrehearsed; while Ayesha Dalvi translates her thoughts, feelings and emotions into a minimalistic aesthetic. Mahnoor Salman Khan blends elements of the miniature tradition with a personal touch, creating pieces that blur the line between reality and fantasy. Varad Bang explores Renaissance-style nude figures through a contemporary lens, while Riyas Komu’s work reflects on the neo-criminal world, exposing spiritual and emotional vulnerabilities. Siya Singh’s self-portraits delve into identity and femininity, and Dasha Buben uses abstract art to confront mental health issues, using colour as both expression and healing. Rifat Mim’s bold, yet delicate style captivates with her use of thick paint and vibrant colours.
