Kumar Gallery presents their latest exhibition: Treasures of the Masters. In 1959, a year before his tragic death, Sailoz Mookherjea sketched a noble mother with her child on a Kumar Gallery letterhead. He titled it The Dream and gave it to his friend and patron Virendra Kumar, conveying through this gift what Kumar Gallery meant to him and his contemporaries: it was the Dream to be exhibited at and promoted by Kumar Gallery, which was at the center of Indian Modernism during its most vital period.
