Emami Art presents Under the Moon Across Many Waters, the first major solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Arpita Akhanda. Bringing together paper weavings, a kinetic installation and Jacquard works, the exhibition explores inherited memory, family archives and the search for home in the aftermath of displacement. Drawing from photographs, letters, documents, poems and oral histories, Akhanda reworks fragments of her family’s history across Bengal into layered works that examine how memories are carried, reconstructed and transformed across generations.
