Kalakriti Art Gallery presents Vishwam by artist Arpitha Reddy. “Vishwam is Vishnu, and Vishnu is Vishwam“– Reddy’s latest body of work is formed around the belief that Vishnu is the embodiment of the universe, expressed through the Namam, a spiritual mark that symbolises Vishnu’s omnipresence.
Reddy revisualises the aesthetics, blending traditional South Indian temple murals with modern interpretations of Puranic symbols and elements from Hindu mythology. Her work reflects key rituals, goddesses, and spiritual symbols, crafted with a meticulous approach that connects history with contemporary themes. Her work showcases an evolved form of the Kerala mural style, with a focus on symbolism and spirituality.
