In a commune lies shared moments of meals, memories, silences, and gestures. They hold faith in the small acts that make a world: the passing of a bowl, the laying of a cloth, the breaking of bread, the waiting for someone to arrive.
This exhibition gathers works that dwell in the spaces where people come together and asks what we place between us: a table, a vessel, an offering, a boundary. Communion is not always about harmony; it can be brief, uneven, or awkward. Yet it is always a reaching, a fragile bridge between selves, between what is present and what is remembered. Some may recall rituals of gathering such as festivals and ceremonies, where belonging may be forged. Others dwell on absence: unfinished conversations, empty rooms, the trace of someone no longer there.
