Gallerie Nvya presents With her Hair Running Wild, featuring the works of a selection of artworks by Seema Kohli, marking different phases of her artistic journey—from a time when she was reduced to making quick sketches during the night, to her trepid explorations of colour at Triveni, to the bold palettes and patterns that have come to define her works today. Between these frames lie stories of domestic breakout, feminine solidarities, and cultivating spaces of one’s own, as the artist gradually reclaimed her practice from the ruins of conjugality. Showcasing Kohli’s search for herself in accounts of undomesticated goddesses and impassioned gods, these works uphold possibilities for regeneration amidst stifling convention.
