Learn how to make a pocket sized/miniature book with artist and printmaker Saruha Kilaru. In this workshop, you will learn how to produce a simple pocket book in various styles at home using basic materials like paper, needle and thread. Come and explore multiple styles of handcrafted artist books using different techniques to fold and manipulate paper.
Saruha has worked previously with the EFA Blackburn print studio in New York, and also exhibited multiple works at the Artbuzz studios in Delhi. Her works were recently exhibited at the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair 2021 and Southwark Park Galleries along with Espacio gallery and Fine Liquids Art Gallery in 2022 in London. She has also won the High Prize for artistic excellence in 2022 along with being selected to be a part of the Travers Smith Art Program.
India Art Fair’s Young Collectors Programme, supported by Ruby’s Signature and curated by archaeologist and art historian Anica Mann, is a gateway to getting to know contemporary South Asian art.
