GALLERY MASKARA
Founded in 2006, GALLERY MASKARA was started with a clear and compelling mission to exhibit and promote the art of the present. Built as a cotton warehouse pre-independence, the current gallery building was completely restored and reimagined as a space for contemporary art in 2008. Over the years, the gallery has become known for its cutting-edge program, site-specific installations, and super-sized contemporary art. GALLERY MASKARA has nurtured emerging artists, most of whom had their first solo shows at the gallery and many have gone on to achieve national and international acclaim.
