Kohelika Kohli कारखाना
Kohelika Kohli’s design philosophy explores the dialogue between contrasting materials and the transformation of the ordinary into the extraordinary. She values minimalism, sustainability, and the repurposing of materials once considered waste—believing every material holds the potential for rebirth through thoughtful design. This philosophy lies at the heart of Kohelika Kohli Karkhana, her atelier dedicated to creating limited-edition, sculptural furniture that celebrates craftsmanship and material exploration.
A graduate in Architecture from the Pratt Institute of Design, New York, Kohelika’s creative journey began at Millfield School, England, and continued through studies in Italy—where Carlo Scarpa’s work became a lifelong influence. She interned with Sir Norman Foster in London and worked at Oliver Cope Architects, New York, before returning to India to co-found K2India, a multidisciplinary design practice.
Her work—marked by timeless sophistication and sensitivity to the five elements—has been widely published. In 2023, she was awarded the EDIDA Designer of the Year (India) for her innovative furniture line KoKo by K2India.
