TARQ presents खारी गाबोली | Salted Caviar, a solo exhibition by Mumbai-based artist Parag Tandel. Bringing together sculpture, cyanotype, textiles and archival research, Tandel’s works explore the ecological, cultural and political histories of Mumbai’s Koli fishing communities. Drawing on geological deep time, oral histories, food traditions and indigenous knowledge systems, the exhibition reflects on questions of memory, labour, preservation and belonging. From votive sculptures and fossil-bearing stone to woven fish nets and speculative ocean archives, Tandel creates a material language for recovering endangered histories and asserting the continuity of Koli life along Mumbai’s coastline.
