Experimenter presents Belong, Chanakya School’s first solo exhibition at Experimenter–Colaba, Mumbai, and second with the gallery, marking four decades of her textile practice. Bringing together expansive textile works and monumental sculptures, the exhibition explores belonging as an ongoing negotiation between body, ecology, memory, and inherited knowledge. Through intricate accumulations of cotton, silk, glass, and recycled beads, Chanakya creates shifting landscapes where human, vegetal, and cosmic forms converge. Drawing on the concept of Prakriti, the works foreground the feminine as a generative force, transforming intimate gestures of weaving into immersive environments that connect the personal with the universal.
