Welcome to STIR WORLD. An Island meant for postmodern – contemporary galleries to thrive in. STIR World’s architectural space for programming new art has in many ways pushed the conversation into areas where one can create even more. Through STIR WORLD’s publications, what could not physically come into the space, are brought to audiences adequately by a dynamic team of writers.
ART INCEPT: An old compatriot of STIR, that builds intelligent and inclusive programmes to find and support emerging artists and bring them to the fore through curated exhibitions.
METHOD: Method presents (Systems)™ by Kunel Gaur at STIR Gallery (Delhi) from 9th to 19th Feb 2023 as an India Art Fair Parallel Event.
With his second solo exhibition with Method, Kunel furthers his exploration of design in urban landscapes and architecture. Inspired by the details in cities around the world, Kunel’s fascination with the symbols, typography, hardware, patterns and colours converges in an articulation that speculates the balanced beauty and form of the elements that primarily serve a function for urban dwellers.
The evolution of Kunel’s work now utilises screws, lights (LED & Neon), acrylic sheets, toughened glass, paint and found objects and presents them in his signature minimal style. The show also features digital explorations of the same theme.
India Art Fair’s Young Collectors Programme, supported by Ruby’s Signature and curated by archaeologist and art historian Anica Mann, is a gateway to getting to know contemporary South Asian art. Taking place from 4 to 12 February at the Young Collectors Hub at Bikaner House in New Delhi, the programme is the perfect opportunity to discover new galleries and learn about various forms of art beyond traditional canvas paintings, such as photography, sculpture, video art, books, music and performance art. Specially designed for the culturally curious and new collectors, the Young Collectors Programme will also be great place to network and explore an exciting line-up of parallel events in the city.
