Saskia Fernando Gallery presents Gaman Maliga, Ajantha Ranaweera’s first solo exhibition at the gallery. The exhibition explores movement, power and transformation through fantastical and spiritual worlds. Inspired by temporary royal residences of medieval Sri Lanka and the country’s mural traditions, Ranaweera reimagines political structures through ambiguous figures and decolonial visual narratives. The works reflect on how power shifts and fractures as it moves across people, places and time.
