February 8, 2026 2:00 pm — 4:00 pm

Triveni Kala Sangam, 205, Tansen Marg, Todermal Road Area, Mandi House, New Delhi, India

Step into the tactile world of woodcut printmaking — a practice where the act of subtraction reveals form, texture, and meaning. In this immersive workshop, participants explore how carved grooves in wood become evocative impressions on paper, bridging intention with surprise.

Workshop Overview
• Opening Perspectives — Situating woodcut within both historical and contemporary artistic landscapes
• Tools & Techniques — Hands-on discovery of carving implements, surface textures, mark-making strategies, and inking approaches
• Creative Process — Guided development of individual woodblock designs, culminating in inking and printing sessions

Emphasis will be placed on embracing textural richness, engaging with negative space, and honoring the unforeseen elements that emerge through the printmaking process. Participants will produce original woodcut prints that capture their personal vision, rhythm, and expressive touch.
