‘Opening the Corridor’ marks the first chapter of North-East:South-East—anchoring the project in the contemporary practices of North-East India.
Featuring five emerging women contemporary artists from North-East India—Arieno Reno, Dwimu Boro, Fileona Dkhar, Gopa Roy and Sewali Deka, this exhibition opens up the transregional corridor as a site where mythic histories, cosmologies, and contemporary imaginaries converge, almost as a current methodological starting point.
