Celebrating the milestone of fifty years of The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation, Artshila and the Foundation present the art exhibition, Intersections: Sites of Becoming. This exhibition is a testament to the Foundation’s consistent commitment towards encouraging freedom of expression and nurturing the artists it considers to be living national treasures. Curated by Artistic Director Priya Pall , the exhibition features a cross-section of works by artists supported by the Foundation over the past five decades, reflecting on pivotal moments that have shaped their practices and the role of the arts in cultural and intellectual life. The Foundation’s alumni include artists such as Rekha Rodwittiya, Sheela Gowda, B.V. Suresh, Akkitham Vasudevan, N.N. Rimzon, Indrapramit Roy, Manisha Parekh, Ajjikuttira Kiran Subbaiah, Sonia Khurana, Shaina Anand, Jagannath Panda, Temsüyanger Longkumer, and Gigimon Scaria, who were amongst the first few to receive the Inlaks Scholarship to study art overseas. The exhibition also includes workshops, panel discussions, mentorship sessions, and other engagements.
