Visual Arts Gallery presents No Refusal, a photographic exhibition by Ananth Padmanabhan exploring Calcutta’s changing urban landscape through its iconic yellow Ambassador taxis. Drawing on photographs taken over nearly three decades, the exhibition documents the city’s everyday life and the gradual disappearance of these familiar vehicles. Through images of streets, aging taxis and changing urban spaces, Padmanabhan reflects on memory, belonging and the role of ordinary objects in shaping a city’s identity.
