Experimenter presents Sour Stars and Breadfruit Monsoons, a solo exhibition by Sahil Naik. The exhibition brings together paintings and image fragments inspired by early colonial landscape studies and murals found across Goa, Bombay, and Daman. Through these works, Naik explores how colonial rule heralded a tense and transformative relationship between landscapes—seed, plant, fruit, and pest, by moving species across continents. The exhibition points to the larger architectural and botanical relationship of migration, adaptation, and exchange producing images and re-staging them as scenographies.Â
