1X1 Art Gallery presents The Weight of Things, a solo exhibition by Delhi-based artist Ruchika Wason Singh. Through layered paintings built with repeated marks and overlapping forms, Singh explores how everyday objects gather emotional significance through memory, attachment and habit. Drawing from her observations of domestic life, the exhibition examines our impulse to collect, preserve and discard things, and the feelings that shape these choices. Her works reflect on the psychological weight of possessions and the ways painting can help us recognise and understand our attachments.
