Yeh Kab Ki Baat Hai? brings together 16 works by Irum Rahat, a contemporary artist whose practice centres on memory, perception, and the construction of interior worlds. The paintings examine memory as something in flux rather than fixed recall. Returning to recurring interiors, figures, and gestures, the works shift subtly with each iteration, presenting memory as layered and non-linear. Past and present appear within the same frame, where identity is shaped through presence and disappearance.
Drawing from cinematic approaches to framing and staging, the works unfold as fragments of an open narrative where meaning remains unsettled. A rhythm between nocturnal scenes and quieter daytime interiors creates a movement between introspection and continuity, with recurring spaces producing familiarity that is constantly reconfigured across the series.
