Art Exposure presents Flowing Like a River Undammed, Rahul Buski’s debut solo exhibition, inspired by Adivasi scholar and activist Abhay Xaxa’s poem Beautiful Damaged People. Through richly textured paintings, Buski explores land, forests, water, memory and Adivasi identity. Drawing from his experiences as a Paniya Adivasi from Wayanad, Kerala, his works bring together people, landscapes, plants and animals. The exhibition reflects on belonging, displacement, community and resistance, while challenging simplified representations of Adivasi life. For Buski, painting becomes a way to reclaim histories, express lived experiences and affirm the deep connection between people and the land.
